Belinda, our friend and main hostess, drove us north to Kaiwaka on Tuesday, October 24. Fin and her daughter rode along, joining us for our northward trek, and the meeting there. The landscape is lush and green, making for many beautiful vistas, out the car window, on our journeys. We've certainly been keeping the road "hot" in doing a lot of driving over the last few days!
A couple in Kaiwaka had arranged the meeting hall and the lovely supper and tea, which was served before the meeting began. Everyone has been so gracious to us. And we have truly been blessed by all the loving hospitality of the believers throughout the North Island of New Zealand!
We were only in Kaiwaka for this one evening (and overnight). The meeting was given by Mark, who shared about Daniel 8, the situation between Israel and Hamas, and the prophetic connections with the Ram and He-Goat prophecy. Of course, anywhere that people are seeking Yahweh and Torah, we can also expect that the enemy (who is very threatened by this) will be busy. In each stop and in each group that we have visited in our New Zealand journey, we have found serious signs of the enemy's attacks on the people. Several have been enticed into the very-righteous-feeling and highly deceptive ways of darkness, many of which are highly similar to Shauna's book Escaping from the Dragon's Jaws. Seeing the magnitude of the deception in the lives of many of these sincere people has deeply impressed us that this is the reason Yahweh sent us here, for such a time as this.
Each believer is precious in the Father's Eyes. And this infiltration from darkness, which we have witnessed impacting local believers in every place we're visited so far, is one that we recognize quickly, having been their ourselves at one time. It is dangerous, and especially deceptive, since it comes wrapped up in pseudo righteousness, with miracles which appear so godly.
Clearly, one of our main missions here, beyond the preaching (and of far greater necessity) is our spiritual warfare mission here. We have been grateful to Yahweh that He is using some of what we've been through (recorded in Escaping from the Dragon's Jaws) to help us prayerfully unmask the deception, and hopefully toss the person a lifeline, by Yahweh's Grace.
We cannot overemphasize how serious the level of deception is, that we have found, gripping many precious and very sincere-hearted believers here. Please continue to keep this in your prayers. And please join us in praying for Yahweh to reveal His Truth, unmasking the fruit and activity of the enemy - exposing it for what it really is.
